On existing and new barn floors for traction and improved cleaning, gcg diamond pattern grooving is the answer! Poured in place grooves can only be poured in one direction, (lengthwise) or else there is too much disturbance to the flush. Diamond pattern grooving on the other hand… is like having the floor tile drained @ 4” centers in 2 directions (floor is dry to the touch in less than 6 minutes). In addition, 5-10% of the flush water is channeled toward the stall curbs where the manure/sand load is greatest leaving the cleanest driest floors…. A MUST with Sand bedding!!
